Job Posting for Public Works Operator at City of Clifton

Ø Must have a valid Kansas Driver’s License.

Ø Perform maintenance on water lines

Ø Perform all tests necessary for water and sewer department

Ø Maintains city sewer infrastructure.

Ø Must become water and wastewater certified within 18 months of employment

Ø Helps maintain city streets and parks

Ø Acts as animal control

Ø Rotates on-call with partner position (PWO- Street Emphasis)

Ø Maintains landscaping on city property including mowing

Ø Maintains city equipment

Ø Reads water meters monthly

Ø Communicates with clerk by 8:30 a.m. daily

Ø Give PWO report at council meetings monthly

Ø Performs snow removal as needed

Ø Courteous and respectful to public and co-workers

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
