What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rec Asst - Park Aide position at City of Dearborn?
RATE OF PAY: $11.50 - $12.50 per hour
MINIMUM AGE: 16 years
HOURS OF WORK:
Seasonal position; employees in this position are scheduled to work shifts between 8:00 a.m. & 10:00 p.m. on both weekdays and weekends during the months of April through September.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
This is general caretaker work tending to the City of Dearborn's various parks throughout the city.
- May assist the Park Manager, Park Ranger, or Head Lifeguard with supervision of park operations.
- May assist the Park Manager, Park Ranger, or Head Lifeguard in enforcing public compliance with park rules and regulations.
- Cleans park comfort stations hourly and assists with aquatic facility cleanliness as necessary.
- Picks up papers and other debris throughout the entire park including aquatic facility, if applicable.
- Assists picnic groups and checks permits.
- Performs other related work as required or assigned.
- Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.
- Standard Health and First Aid, CPR, or Lifeguard Certification preferred.
- Ability to speak Arabic is desirable.
- Employees may be reassigned to a different location without prior notice.
