Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or higher in industrial safety, business or public administration, engineering, social/behavioral science or a related field.
Licenses and Certificates: Valid Texas driver's license or equivalent from another state. Some positions may require Texas Class "B" Commercial Driver's License with passenger endorsement or equivalent from another state.
Under general supervision, coordinate and participate implementation of public health-related risk management, safety and training activities.
Perform risk management, safety and damage claim functions. Involves: Implement policies, procedures and internal controls related to compliance with health, safety, security and environmental rules and regulations. Identify health and safety risks and recommend corrective actions to control and minimize organizational liability. Collect accident data and analyze accident or incident trends. Conduct quality assurance inspections such as post-accident and post employee injury inspections and monitoring. Assist with reviewing and processing worker's compensation forms. Participate in compliance activities related to the environment, prepare regulatory reports, and coordinate corrective action or response to audit findings.
Perform related duties as required. Involves: Perform duties of immediate supervisor, co-workers or subordinates to ensure continuity of operations. Respond to serious accidents or emergencies to ensure proper investigation.
