POSITION SUMMARY
The Finance Coordinator performs finance department tasks and provides support for various department functions. The position has substantial potential for growth and advancement depending on qualifications, experience and performance.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Administrative tasks include but are not limited to:
- Department SharePoint administration
- Department website administration
- Department policy maintenance
- Department training materials and video maintenance
- Department form creation and maintenance
- Managing the department request inbox
Department support tasks include but are not limited to:
- Participate on various city-wide committees and report back to department leaders for input
- Act as back-up for central cashiering and other department functions as necessary
- Perform initial review of travel and reimbursement submissions
- Process property claims
- Support IT with PCI compliance
- Act as an administrator for all credit card processors
Other Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist department leaders with creating content for periodic internal and external communications related to department initiatives and project status reporting.
- Other duties as assigned and required.
PREPARATION AND TRAINING
Education: High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
Work Experience: Minimal exposure to general business practices and office environments
Certifications and/or Licensures: None

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Possesses the functional and technical knowledge and skills including:
- Knowledge of general business practices
- Working knowledge of:
- Applications software for Windows environment, Microsoft Office including SharePoint, Word and Excel.
- Ability to exercise initiative and sound judgement; plan, handle and maintain confidentiality of information; learning department procedures and following and promoting policies.
- Computer Skills – Skills needed to generate spreadsheets and to work with databases, SharePoint and Word documents.
- Communication – Effectively communicate verbally and in writing; strong customer service orientation; organize information in a clear and logical format.
- Analytical – Ability to analyze, interpret and solve issues
- Mathematical - Basic skills needed for working with numbers, spreadsheet formulas and calculations.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed in a standard office environment, requiring sitting for extended periods of time, and occasional light lifting (up to 15 lbs.). Job requires visual and physical capabilities to work on computers and associated equipment for prolonged periods of time (4-6 hours daily).
SALARY RANGE
$43,834 - $65,751/Annual
