The Information Technology (IT) Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, or software both in the City of Gahanna office space and mobile units. This role responds to queries, runs diagnostic programs, isolates problems, and determines and implements IT solutions.Starting Salary Range: The starting salary is between the minimum and midpoint of the range. Candidates will start at the minimum of the range ($47,195.20 annually) unless their skills, experience, education or other factors exceed the qualifications for the position.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Responds to Help Desk phone inquiries and online requests promptly which may require providing service outside of regular business hours; Assist staff with the installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of desktop & laptop, computers, tablets, peripheral equipment, and software; Troubleshoot problems, implement solutions, and communicate to the end user.Manage and maintain accurate inventory and disposal of all endpoint equipment including but not limited to desktops, laptops, office phones, mobile phones, tablets, printers, mobile vehicle IT equipment, and peripherals.Maintain phone system end devices; Troubleshoot problems and make changes as needed. Work collaboratively with the Systems Administrator on configuration change management. Evaluate; research; recommend; purchase; setup and test equipment, supplies, hardware and software; Deploy new equipment and configure system images.Configure, manage, maintain, and report metrics for enterprise applications related to: enterprise imaging system for PC deployment (Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT)) mobile device management system for mobile devices (JAMF)enterprise anti-virus and anti-malware systems (EPDR)enterprise software deployment package (PDQ & PowerShell exec)

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Possess and maintain good client relationship skills to communicate the use of and policy associated with end-user technology equipment and applications.Works with vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment and software.Ensure desktop computers, laptops, and other electronic devices interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems including associated validation systems, file servers, email servers, computer conferencing systems, application servers, and administrative systems. Assist in creating the budget, finding deficiencies in the systems, evaluating needs, and working with vendors to obtain pricing and technical details on products.Assesses functional needs to determine specifications for purchases. Perform other duties and projects as assigned by supervisor.
