What are the responsibilities and job description for the Yoga Instructor position at City of Golden?

This position teaches a variety of yoga classes to youth, adults, and seniors. Schedule may include multiple class times and days available to sub. Early mornings, mid mornings, evenings and weekends (multiple times/days available). Multiple class times and days available to sub also.
Assist the Recreation Supervisor – Wellness and General Programs with the evaluation of the program by providing feedback and recommendations for class/program improvement.
Handles and reports to the Recreation Supervisor any problems, concerns, or emergencies that arise during their classes.
Exercises safety awareness and practices.
Responsible for set-up and take down of equipment when applicable. Responsible for keeping equipment and class space organized.
Responsible for securing a substitute when unable to work assigned class.
Follows and enforces all department policies, rules, and regulations while maintaining a friendly and professional attitude.
Other duties may be assigned.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must hold a current CPR certification.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Must have excellent customer service skills. Ability to make sound decisions and use good judgment during stressful situations.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must be self-motivated and must work well independently. Ability to work well with people of all ages and abilities. Provides positive, fun, and safe experiences to the class participants.

Mats, tape player, CD player, mp3, IPod docking stations.
