We are looking for an organized and motivated individual with administrative experience to serve as the Clerk for City Council as well as the City’s various boards and commissions. Daily activities may include drafting legislation, preparing and distributing agendas, preparing and distributing meeting notices, correspondence with the public or external partners, coordinating approved Code updates, maintaining files, and online record keeping. This full-time position will work across all City departments on a broad scope of service-oriented topics. Progressively responsible prior experience in public sector clerking and a general understanding of public meeting procedures and municipal government are preferred. Schedule flexibility is required as City Council meetings, board and commissions meet primarily in the evenings, generally 3-4 evenings per month.
Starting compensation is dependent on qualifications and experience. The target hiring salary range for this vacancy is based on applicable experience, skill set and technical abilities. Appointment is conditional upon pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and background investigation. The City of Grandview Heights also offers excellent employee benefits.
