The expected hiring range is $79,375-$104,441. depending on qualifications, with an excellent benefits package. You can learn more about the benefits that the City of Greensboro offers by visiting Benefits | Greensboro, NC (greensboro-nc.gov) The Opportunity: The Benefits Manager is responsible for the oversight of Benefits Administration for the City of Greensboro. This position provides strategic direction for the City's benefit plans by monitoring the effectiveness of the plans and addressing the needs of employees and their dependents. The Benefits Manager makes recommendations for new benefits as well as recommends elimination or modification of the City’s benefit plans. The Benefits Manager also provides in-depth analysis of benefit plan performance by monitoring trends of activity and expenses incurred, as well as provides support for budget estimates and potential cost savings derived from changing benefit designs or benefit policies. The Benefits Manager oversees contracts and benefits administration of City’s third party carriers.The Benefits Manager forecasts benefit plan expenses in order to develop the appropriate medical and dental insurance premiums each year. The manager also maintains benefit policy effectiveness by policy interpretation and timely updates of the City’s policies. The position may develop and deliver presentations and training programs to all levels of the organization. This position supervises the wellness program marketing, administration, and participation levels and reports program outcomes/success against established goals. This position requires the ability to effectively build credibility in the organization and cooperate as a team member with all departments. The Benefits Manager must communicate with clarity and demonstrate behaviors that convey respect, service excellence, honesty and integrity along with the ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with staff, public officials and the general public. The position requires the ability to interact and communicate effectively diverse populations. The position must be proficient in effectively interacting with elected officials and senior leadership in the City of Greensboro.
