What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Process Consultant position at City of Henderson?
The City of Henderson announces an examination to create an Eligibility List and to fill two (2) vacancies for the classification of Business Process Consultant for the Office of Performance & Innovation within the City Manager's Department: one to focus on citywide strategic planning and one to focus on our citywide continuous improvement program. The Eligibility List may be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification for up to one (1) year.

Under limited supervision, performs specialized, professional, complex, and multi-dimensional analytical work in relation to strategic and operational business planning, process improvement, performance assessment and measurement, and organizational change management in order to optimize City performance; and performs related duties as assigned.
A successful candidate for the strategic planning position will possess experience with the following:
- Researching and analyzing data to identify key organizational strategic themes;
- Developing and managing multiple instruments (surveys, focus groups, etc.) to collect both internal and external (public) feedback on organizational strategic themes;
- Working with cross-functional teams and consultant to develop a comprehensive suite of initiatives to address key organizational strategic themes; and
- Planning and helping to facilitate public meetings with elected officials.
A successful candidate for the continuous improvement position will possess experience with the following:
- Lean Six Sigma training (Master Black Belt certification preferred);
- Utilizing other continuous improvement methods (PDCA, Kaizen, 5S, etc.);
- Conducting group-level training; and
- Coordinating an organization-wide continuous improvement program.

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration or a closely related field.
- Six (6) years of experience performing organization-wide business performance, change management, and strategic planning; must include leadership development, employee engagement or process improvement review and implementation.
- Note: An equivalent combination of related training and experience may be considered.
- Desirable: Master's degree in a related field.
