Overview

Hiring Range:  $23.81-$31.90 Starting salary may be adjusted depending on experience.  

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. with three (3) years or more of experience as an Event, Hospitality or Tourism Coordinator, Event Planner or related position.
  •                              OR

            Bachelor's Degree or higher in Hospitality Management, Public Relations, Business Administration, Marketing, or related degree.

       2. Ability to work a flexible schedule to include nights and weekends as needed for events.   3. Possession of a valid driver's license and the ability to obtain and maintain a City of Hoover Driver's Permit.

    Responsibilities

    • Works closely with Park and Recreation Events Manager.
    • Coordinates and manages event details for events that are held at various city locations
    • Manages set up crew and event staff;
    • Schedules site visits with vendors;
    • Schedules event staff to work events;
    • Submits check requests for event staff;
    • Enters requisitions and helps with budgeting
    • Enters work orders
    • Required to work events as needed including nights and weekends
    • Performs related work as required.

    Salary : $24 - $32
