Firefighter/Paramedic

Job Title: Firefighter/Paramedic

The City of Isle of Palms is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Firefighter/Paramedic to join our team. As a Firefighter/Paramedic, you will be responsible for responding to emergency calls, providing medical care, and fighting fires in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to emergency calls, including medical emergencies, fires, and other incidents
• Provide advanced life support skills, including patient assessment, treatment, and transportation
• Operate fire apparatus, including engines, trucks, and rescue vehicles
• Participate in training exercises and drills to maintain skills and certifications
• Collaborate with other emergency responders, including police and medical personnel

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid South Carolina Class E driver's license
• Completion of Emergency Medical Responder course and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation certification
• Completion of Firefighter I & Firefighter II certification
• Successful completion of NIMS, ICS, or equivalency training
• Be certified as a Paramedic in the state of South Carolina
