- Performs standardized chemical and bacteriological laboratory tests on water and wastewater influents and effluents.
- Makes schedules for testing, evaluates procedures, and makes recommendations to increase efficiency.
- Prepares samples for shipment to laboratories for complex chemical or bacteriological analysis.
- Performs all lab operations in accordance with TCEQ/EPA rules and regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
• Create, record, and maintain test results in automated or manual recording systems.
• Prepare chemical and bacteriological media, reagents and test solutions used in laboratory.
• Measure, weigh, and sterilize media for laboratory tests.
• Train other employees to perform routine tests accurately and in accordance with laboratory procedures.
• Perform quality assurance and quality control testing.
• Prepare periodic reports of findings.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
