JOB OBJECTIVE: To receive, review, and coordinate the compilation of public records subject to disclosure in order to respond to Arkansas Freedom of Information Act (AFOIA) requests received by the City of Little Rock; consults with the AFOIA City Attorney, the City Attorney, or both, as necessary to ensure AFOIA responses are promptly answered in compliance with all applicable guidelines, laws, policies, procedures, regulations, and statutes.
This position is not designated as a safety/security sensitive position and is not subject to random drug and alcohol screening.

These knowledge, skills, and abilities are usually, although not always, acquired through the completion of a Paralegal certificate, with two (2) years of paralegal experience; or, the satisfactory completion of a Juris Doctorate with or without a license to practice law; or, a Bachelor’s Degree in any field to include demonstrated work experience that requires the review and consideration of statutes, regulations, constitutional provisions, or any combination of experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be available to work outside of normal working hours, including nights and weekends, and holidays as required.
