QUALIFICATIONS

· High School Diploma/GED

· Six months building maintenance experience

· Valid Texas Driver License

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Must possess required knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performed.

· Knowledge of the use and maintenance of commercial cleaning machines

· Knowledge of occupational hazards, and safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components

· Ability to perform moderately strenuous physical labor

· Effective communication skills, both verbal and written

· Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and the public

· Skill in the use of hand and power tools

MAJOR DUTIES

Including the following, other duties may be assigned. These duties are not intended to be all inclusive or exclusive, just illustrative of the kind of work to be performer

· General cleaning of facility including restrooms, windows and floors

· Custodian’s Closet: Keep clean and in an orderly fashion. (Hang wet mops, empty mop buckets, and remove trash.)

· Responsible to ensure that all chemicals and equipment needed are available, labeled properly and in working order.

· Restrooms: Dust vents, partitions, mirrors and fixtures. Clean and disinfect all walls, partitions, fixtures, toilets, sinks, mirrors, and doors. Sweep/mop/floors daily to avoid soil build-up.

· Front entrance and all common areas to be maintained and cleaned. Clean doors, windows, dust, Mop/Sweep/Vacuum, monitor and remove trash and replace liners, discard all trash in appropriate location, keep glass clean.

· Break Rooms/Meeting Rooms/Offices: sweep/Mop/Vacuum, clean windows, remove trash and replace liners, dusting surfaces, and wipe/disinfect countertops, meeting room tables, and sink area.

· Trash: Disposal of all trash within the designated areas.

· Report minor or major damages to the appropriate person.

· Inventory of chemical and cleaning supplies

· Various other duties as assigned.

This position is an essential service position and will require providing services during emergency situations
