What are the responsibilities and job description for the Indoor Cycling Instructor position at City of Minnetonka?
This part-time position is responsible for leading clients in a safe, efficient manner to accomplish goals of the assigned group fitness class. Requires an individual who can accept responsibility and is excellent at dealing with the public. Group fitness instructors are under the direction of the Assistant Manager.
- Responsible for proper use of and general condition of the Williston Center's fitness and exercise equipment and to provide for its safe and efficient operations
- Responsible for opening and securing storage closets and use of all equipment
- Communicates problems and concerns relating to personal training needs to the Assistant Manager
- Responsible for assisting members and other individuals with appropriate techniques and skills to partake in cycling class
- Provides information and assistance to members, guests and staff
- Responsible for leading all participants through a safe and effective cycling class
- Communicates problems/concerns/complaints from members and clients to the Assistant Manager and/or Manager on a daily basi
- Performs other duties, and assumes other responsibilities as apparent or assigned
- Assists as a substitute for other fitness classes, as experience and expertise allows
- A commitment to and belief in the organization's shared values
- Nationally recognized cycling certification
- CPR AED Certification
- Strong customer service background
- Ability to handle customer concerns and assist with customer needs
Knowledge of:
- Safe and effective teaching practices and use of all equipment
Ability to:
- Learn facility policies, programs, and practices
Salary : $27 - $30
