Job Title: Street Department
Job Overview:
Join our team as a Street Department laborer and play a crucial role in maintaining the safety of our community's streets. As a key member of our public works team, you will contribute to the upkeep and improvement of our city's infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on streets, sidewalks, and other public areas
- Operate equipment such as construction equipment, snow plows, and dump trucks
- Install concrete roadways, sidewalks and drains. Repair potholes, cracks, and other damages on road surfaces
- Install and maintain street signs and traffic signals
- Assist in emergency response situations such as snow removal and storm cleanup
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient completion of projects
- Follow safety protocols and regulations while working on public roads
Experience:
- Previous experience in public works or street maintenance preferred
- Familiarity with operating maintenance and/or construction equipment is a plus
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditions

All employees must be able to attain Class A CDL within first six months with city assistance. Employees with CDL are placed in a higher pay grade.

Pay: From $15.14 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
