Department: Public Works

Primary Job Duties: Under the direct supervision of a commissioner or his/her designee, this position is responsible for securing and managing grants, acting as project manager on related initiatives, assisting sustainability-related committees, furthering and monitoring the implementation of GreeNR, coordinating sustainability initiatives with other Departments and organizations, leveraging opportunities through other organizations, & researching sustainability issues and initiatives. Does related work as required.

Qualifications

Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered four-year college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sustainability, Environmental Design/Engineering, Environmental Science, Environmental Law, Environmental Planning, Urban Planning, Public Administration, Planning & Environmental Studies or a related field and three (3) years of relevant experience working on energy and/or sustainability projects and programming.

Special Requirements

Possession of a valid New York State Drivers License

Must be a New York State Resident

Must submit a Civil Service Application to New Rochelle's Civil Service department.

Pay: $68,184.00 - $97,437.00 per year
