The City of Newell, population 906, is seeking a part-time Deputy City Clerk. The position will be approximately 20 hours/week paying $20/hour and will include IPERS benefit. Job duties include utility billing, working with the public, data entry, accounts payable, bookkeeping, budget reports, reconciliations, administrative support to the city clerk, and other duties as assigned. Candidate must have or acquire CMC (Certified Municipal Clerk). Successful candidates should have office experience, good communication skills, be detail-oriented, and a multi-tasker.
