The City of Peoria is searching for an energetic, self-motivated person to join the Butler Water Reclamation Team. This person will have direct contact with City Staff across all departments and divisions, as well as internal and external relationships with vendors, contractors and engineers. The purpose of this position is to provide leadership within the team and support internal and external customers within the Water Services Department. Duties are not limited to one task but several within the City as well as the Water Reclamation Facility. Overall, this position will utilize communication skills to provide excellent customer serviced to the Citizens of the City of Peoria.

The ideal candidate for this position will have:
- Experience in a municipal or government setting
- Leadership qualities in the advancement of Wastewater Treatment
- Previous administrative work supporting multiple positions supported by a union
- Journey-level duties in the operation, maintenance, control and repair of large treatment plants; as well as being able to provide technical guidance to plant operators
- Plans and schedules plant maintenance staff, and provides guidance in plant operations and maintenance
- Strong computer skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Reviews, analyzes and provides direction on laboratory analysis for process control, plant operations, SCADA adjustments, and reports
- A strong customer service background and the ability to multi-task
- Excellent communication skills
