The City of Peoria’s Fire-Medical Department is looking for a new Plans Examiner II for their Fire Prevention Division. This position performs advanced plan reviews. This is accomplished by analyzing and interpreting complex construction plans including review of structural calculations, building, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and fire and life safety code compliance. This position directly reports to the Fire Marshal. Other duties may include completing related tasks as assigned.
The ideal candidate for this position will:
- Be highly organized and detail oriented
- Have a valid AZ Driver’s License
- Be able to work independently
- Be able to quickly adapt to changing priorities
