Description
The Traffic Engineering department is seeking a dedicated and hardworking Seasonal Traffic Operations Worker to join our team for the 2024 summer season. This vital position enhances road safety by ensuring clear and visible traffic markings.
Position Details
This position assists the Traffic Division in painting streets and curbs with other duties as required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with the application of traffic paint and pavement markings.
Assist with traffic sign installation
Assisting with clean-up and end-of-day
Carrying and hauling supplies
Other duties as assigned.
Overnight/Early morning hours are required, shifts will start from 2:00 am - 10:30 am and will later transition to 4:00 am - 12:30 pm.

Requirements:
Must be 18 years or older.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Valid driver’s license is preferred but not required.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions and vehicular traffic. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme heat and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Work hours are nighttime and early morning. .
