What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Pool Cashier position at City of Red Bluff?
Under supervision, serve as a cashier at the pool for comprehensive programs of public recreation for all residents of all ages, enforce safety rules and regulations.
This position works under the direction of the Pool Manager, Pool Assistant Manager, Recreation Supervisor, or his/her designee.
- Maintains pool deck and adjacent areas, such as locker rooms and restrooms.
- Notify supervisor of emergencies, disturbances, or problems.
- Set up and tear down accommodations for special events, programs, and facility rentals.
- Deals effectively and courteously with the public.
- Able to count and make change.
- Clean restrooms.
- Clean snack bar.
- Take customer’s food orders.
- Pick up trash around perimeter of pool daily.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
SCHEDULE
Hours are only during open to public swim hours during the summer months: M-Fri 1:00-4:30 and Sat. 12:00-5:30. Hours subject to change.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED
The Cashier is required to count money. Custodial cleaning equipment will be used.

Education and Experience:
- The ability to work with the public.
- Under 18 years of age must submit a work permit upon hire.

Knowledge of:
- Principles and practices of public swimming pool operations.
- Red Cross regulations.
- Safe work practices.
Ability to:
- Deal effectively and courteously with the public.
- Work in all weather conditions.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Accept constructive criticism and direction from supervisors.
