The Position
STEP INTO THE RING-AS A BOXING INSTRUCTOR!
The City of Riverside is accepting applications for the position of BOXING INSTRUCTOR* to fill one (1) vacancy in the Parks, Recreation & Community Services Department (PRCSD). The eligibility list established may be used to fill the current and/or upcoming vacancies within this classification for up to six (6) months.

- Actual job classification is INSTRUCTOR: Instructors, under general direction, provide specialized recreation and/or education programs at various locations throughout the City.
Work Performed
Duties may include, but are not necessarily limited to, the following:
- Teaching specialized recreation programs
- Instruction in various sports skills
- Teaching appropriate social skills
- Instruction in lifesaving skills
Qualifications
Education:
- High school graduation or satisfactory equivalent (GED).
Highly Desired Qualifications:
- Experience as a boxer or in coaching other sports
- Knowledge of boxing techniques, training methods, and strategies
- Possession or ability to obtain certifications from reputable boxing organizations such as USA Boxing
