Duties: Assists the Director of Parks & Recreation in the administration of all departmental functions & manages the department in the absence of the director; formulates policy, manages daily operations, implements & plans department projects, strategies & goals, administers department services; manages activities related to department services & functions including evaluating service efficiency & effectiveness; handles departmental activity & program integration with recreational software; assists Director with strategic planning including maintaining & reviewing performance data & activity reports to measure productivity, goal achievement, & potential cost evaluation & program improvement areas; takes lead on Department’s Continual Improvement Processes
Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Parks & Recreation, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a closely related field.
Experience: Five (5) years’ full-time work experience in parks & recreation involving development, operations & program management; two (2) years’ supervisory/management duties.
Requirements: Must live within 40-minutes response time; must possess a valid Kansas driver’s license.
Starting pay: $65,463-73,313/yr. (Full pay range: $65,463-109,456/yr.) EOE
