What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paramedic position at City of Seabrook?
JOB SUMMARY:
Under general supervision from the Director of Emergency Services and the Medical Director, provides emergency medical care and community education to the citizens of Seabrook. Follows all established standards and procedures set forth by policy and procedures, and physician direction by written protocol/standing order, radio, telephone, or personal interaction. Participates in planning and implementation of programs or objectives for own work group.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalency.
- Two to Three years of experience as an Emergency Medical Services provider.
- Valid Texas Driver's License.
- Texas Department of Health Paramedic Certification or Licensure.
- Possession of or ability to obtain within six months, BLS Healthcare Provider Certificate
- Possession of Basic Trauma Life Support Certificate (BTLS) or the ability to obtain within one (1) year from date of hire.
- Possession of International Trauma Life Support Certificate, is preferred.
- Possession of Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS) or the ability to obtain within one (1) year from date of hire.
- Possession of Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certificate (PALS) or the ability to obtain within one (1) year from date of hire.
Salary : $22 - $23
