Engineering Technician work activities are divided into three classes.Engineering Technician II is the second, or beginning intermediate level class, to which Engineer positions are allocated in the classified service.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Engineering Technician II work activities: Works in field, in the office, or both. Normally serves as Project or Field Engineer in charge of one or more engineering projects. Assists in the design and development of engineering plans and specifications: oversees assigned projects; inspects ongoing and completes projects; inspects ongoing and completed projects; maintains cost expenditure data; prepares cost estimates; and like activities.
