Job Standards
The Office of Public Utilities, Information Systems Division is seeking an individual to provide technical support for personal computer hardware and software in stand-alone and network environments. Provided Helpdesk support to users Provide Help Desk functions dependent on Tier I or Tier II support requirements. Train PC users in the use of various software programs and hardware. Provide hardware maintenance. Install PC hardware and software.This position requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of two years of college with courses in computer science and one year experience with PC hardware and computer operating software, or any equivalent combination of related training and experience. A valid Class D driver’s license is also required. Must pass the required background investigation and sign the departmental confidentiality statement. Preference for employment in all positions with the city shall be given to applicants who are full-time city residents.
