The City of St. Joseph islooking for a qualified candidate with a background in economic development to shape the future of the City.
Reporting to the City Manager, the successfulcandidate will lead economicdevelopment initiatives; oversee the zoning, propertymaintenance, and buildingdepartment staff;
staff theDowntown DevelopmentAuthority (DDA) and Brownfield Redevelopment Authority (BRA); and build and maintainrelationships citywide and in the development community.
This is a full-time salary exempt position with a wage range of $75,000 - $90,000. In addition to acompetitive salary, the City provides a generous benefits package that includes a defined benefit retirement plan.
Required education and experienceinclude a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five (5) years ofrelated experience in economic development, urban planning, public administration, business administration, communications, marketing, or related field.
