Animal Welfare Officer: Enforce city, state, and federal ordinances and laws governing animals, including investigation and taking appropriate action in cases of suspicion of rabies, animal bites, and cruelty. Position also inducts, captures, cares for and disposes of animals and issues warnings and citations or other appropriate charges for violations. Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00a.m. - 5:00p.m. Will include weekends when training is completed. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Must be at least 21 years of age to obtain required Chemical Euthanasia Tech Certification. Must obtain Oklahoma driver’s license within thirty days of hire; one year experience handling and caring for animals is desirable. Salary Range: $15.97- $19.83 per hour DOQ plus comprehensive benefits package including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401k, Annual leave, Sick leave, Holidays, and Personal Days. Qualifications
This position is considered a civilian position within the Stillwater Police Department and requires you satisfactorily passing the required areas as checked below: Polygraph Personal History Statement Psychological Testing Interview with Chief of Police Background Investigation Other testing as needed
