Program Supervisor - Tennis

The City of Stoughton Parks and Recreation Division is seeking a responsible, dependable person to plan and lead our summer tennis lessons.

This position will remain open until filled.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan, create, and lead weekly tennis lesson
• Provide a safe, fun, and challenging atmosphere for all participants
• Teach the rules and principles of the game to all participants
• Oversee and lead Tennis Recreation Assistants
• Arrive on time and assist in set up of program equipment
• Collect, manage, and return the equipment to the proper place in good working condition
• Keep daily attendance records on forms provided by the Recreation Supervisor
• Report incidents and concerns to the Recreation Supervisor in a timely manner (within 24 hours)
• Provide friendly customer service and a welcoming environment to participants and families
• Other duties may be assigned by the Recreation Supervisor

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• Experience or training in the rules of tennis and knowledge in all facets of the tennis game
• Must be at least 17 years of age

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Ability to communicate and work effectively with youth ages 3-17 and adults
• Ability to work in an efficient and safe manner
• Ability to carry out assigned tasks with minimal supervision
• Dress in proper tennis attire (neat in appearance)
• Possess punctuality
• Strong leadership skills
• Supervisor experience
• Comfortable working outside
