Job Posting for PROCUREMENT OFFICER - SENIOR at City of Surprise
SUMMARY Incumbents prepare and administer the following formal solicitation types; Request for Quotation (RFQ), Request for Qualifications (RFQu), Invitation for Bid (IFB) and Request for Proposal (RFP); evaluate contractors and proposals for more complex services and commodity purchases. Incumbents perform contract administration and compliance reviews including the posting of performance bonds. Incumbents coordinate purchase orders, work orders and approvals with other City Departments.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES May supervise personnel in related area of responsibility.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's Degree in related field and five years experience in procurement, including three years experience in executing professional services contracts; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed on the job description. Additional education cannot be substituted for experience.

NIGP – Certified Procurement Professional (CPP)
UPPCC – Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB)
UPPCC – Certified Public Procurement Officer (CPPO)
American Purchasing Society – Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP)
