Minimum Training & Experience
Possession of a two year degree in architectural, building construction, or engineering technology, and three years of technical work experience as a plans examiner, building construction estimator, State of Florida licensed general, building or residential contractor, or building construction supervisor; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Necessary Special Requirements
Must possess, at the time of appointment, a Standard Building Inspector License and Plans Examiner License issued by the State of Florida, or must meet eligibility requirements to obtain a Provisional Building Inspector License and Provisional Plans Examiner License issued by the State of Florida at the time of appointment. Individuals hired under the provisional license option must obtain a Standard Building Inspector License and Plans Examiner License issued by the State of Florida within one year of appointment, as a condition of continued employment.
Salary Range
$19.9955 to $54.2594/hourly. Hiring rate generally will not exceed $33.9153/hour
Driver's License Requirements
Must possess a valid Class-E State driver's license at the time of appointment.
