The City of Thomson, GA, is actively recruiting certified Water Treatment Operators. We have immediate openings for Class I, Class II, and Class III Certified Water Treatment Operators, as well as Water Treatment Operator Trainees. Signing bonuses of up to $10,000 and relocation assistance may available for Certified Operators! The higher your certification and more experience you bring to the position, the larger the signing bonus and higher the amount paid to help with relocation expenses.
Thomson provides water treatment, wastewater treatment, and natural gas service to the 25,000 residents of McDuffie County which lies 30 miles from Augusta, GA, 100 miles from Columbia, SC, and 115 miles from Atlanta, GA. The City of Thomson offers: competitive salaries, a defined benefit retirement plan, 100% of employee medical premiums and 50% of family medical premiums paid by the City, and provides 10 paid holidays per year.
Salary ranges for the certified positions are:
- Water Operator I - $36,712 - $49,192
- Water Operator II - $35,256 - $46,821
- Water Operator III - $33,904 - $44,637
