The Lead Analyst role is designed for individuals with advanced and formal research skills including quantitative/qualitative/mixed methods, theoretical backgrounds, and other sophisticated tool kits. As a Lead Analyst, you will have opportunity and autonomy to challenge long-held assumptions of policing and conduct peer-reviewed research to create and guide national best practices.\r\n\r\n\r\nThe Lead Analyst will help improve decision-making in the Department through the discovery and application of emerging research, rigorous examination of data, and the management of both ad hoc and established analytical teams. Essential Functions
\r\nConducts advanced data analyses, including integration of quantitative, qualitative, and spatial methodologies.\r\n\r\n\r\nManages statistical projects and ensures projects are planned effectively and standards are met; provides analysis of findings and recommendations.\r\n\r\n\r\nImplements and oversees research methods, including problem statements, background research, and methodological design.\r\n\r\n\r\nSupports data-integration models and the Department's vision by collecting and analyzing data in a timely and accurate basis; provides detailed trend analysis reports regarding findings.\r\n\r\n\r\nStrategically develops analytical resources to assist the Department's policing and investigative activities.�\r\n\r\n\r\nResearches and performs advanced analytical work on large-N data sets.\r\n\r\n\r\nDevelops and implements new approaches and methodologies from peer reviewed literature and other technical reports.\r\n\r\n\r\nManages and implements strategies regarding criminal trends, crime analysis principles, methods and functions.�\r\n\r\n\r\nEvaluates opportunities to improve data integrity in order to enhance data driven approaches; presents findings in leadership.�\r\n\r\n\r\nConducts resource allocation studies; conducts analysis of policing strategies and provides recommendations; develops, initiates and completes comprehensive surveys, research projects, and program evaluation studies.\r\n\r\n\r\n
Minimum Qualifications
\r\nMinimum Education Level & Type: Bachelor’s Degree\r\n\r\n\r\nMinimum Experience Qualifications: At least�three (3) years of experience in applied social science research.\r\n\r\n\r\n
Preferred Qualifications

Driving Requirements
