The City of Uniontown is seeking a Full Time Public Works Employee. Applicant must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and a Valid Driver's License.

Applicant must be able to perform a variety of activities including light and heavy physical labor. Must be able to operate various types of City trucks and Machinery.

Operates snow plows, salters, municipal trucks.

Operates rodder and tractor-drawn mowers.

Operates tow compressor, chipper, and small trailer.

Maintains safe and efficient operations of assigned equipment, to complete work assignment.

Utilizes chain saws and other power and hand tools as required for tree trimming and removal of weeds and other refuse.

Shovels snow, salt, hot and cold patch street surfaces, shovel and rake blacktop.

Mixes concrete with shovel, using the correct amounts of sand, cement, and water.

Pushes wheelbarrow to move, asphalt, debris, or stone for street repairs.

Digs trenches with pick and shovel, using the correct amounts of sand, cement, and water.

Loads and unloads heavy material from trucks; moves or aids in moving heavy and bulky objects.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $17.41 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

Ability to Commute:

  • Uniontown, PA 15401 (Preferred)

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Uniontown, PA 15401
