CLERK III
- Required to organize and prioritize work and information received by customers by phone, email or in person, initiating a service request by documenting information into an electronic work tracking system.
- Will courteously interact with customers via telephone, emails and in person.
- Will provide information to citizen’s requiring a broad knowledge of Public Works Operations functions and activities, departmental activities and established department/division procedures and practices.
- Required to provide assistance in processing a variety of routine clerical assignments, service requests, correspondence, and email requests for service from a variety of source applications.
- Perform tasks requiring extended periods of time sitting throughout the workday.
- Will be required to remember procedures or steps and recall them to carry out routine tasks and to focus on tasks without distraction or compromising accuracy, as well as complete tasks within expected time frame.
- Required to prepare replies to correspondence in accordance with established procedures, City standards or standards issued by the division.
- Required to document requests coming into the office in a timely manner.
- Expected to retrieve and enter information from city infrastructure data systems and a variety of other data systems.
**This position is ALPHA 1 and is required to work in excess of their normally scheduled days/hours during all inclement weather (flooding, hurricanes & snow), and/or in response to short-term department needs and/or City-wide emergencies **
