Position SummaryThe Project Coordinator shall operate in accordance with the policies set forth by the City of
Wellington and SCCDAT and shall abide by all applicable laws and regulations. This position
requires employee to work 20 hours per week, with pay contingent on funding, candidate
qualifications, prior experience, and job performance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist the Grant Director to promote, coordinate, and ensure implementation of
programs and prevention strategies.
  • Promote programs in all communities of Sumner County, which will require some travel
within the county to facilitate action plan.
  • Provide assistance to SCCDAT, Grant Director, Sector Representatives and other
community organizations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners.
  • Work directly with SCCDAT Youth Council members.
  • Brainstorm and Assist with planning of Prevention Programs and Activities.
  • Responsible for communicating with board members, Sector Representatives, Coalition
members, and communities regarding coalition activities, via email, Facebook,
Instagram, and other social media.
  • Organize, collect, and submit data and reports as per grant requirements and for
evaluative purposes.
  • Some out of town travel and overnight trips are required.
  • Other duties as directed by the Grant Director, SCCDAT, and the City of Wellington
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Some college or education in a related field; marketing, media, communications, social
work, sociology, psychology, or substance abuse counselor; OR equivalent experience in
a closely related field preferred.
  • Possess valid driver’s license.
  • Experience in administrative, secretarial, and/or clerical tasks, computer skills, word
processing, spreadsheets and other data management programs.
  • Experience in Canva and various social media platforms
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Must be free of chemical dependency. Testing will be a portion of the hiring process.
  • Possess group facilitation skills
  • Experience in coordinating community events and an interest in working with youth,
parents, and community stakeholders.
