Position Overview

The Collection Systems Supervisor will be responsible for the review of general contractor sewer plans, sewer inspections, and preparing infrastructure to be updated in the Geographical Information System (GIS) for the Water Resource Recovery Facility.

The ideal candidate will have…

• A thorough knowledge of collection system operation and maintenance, as well as the principles and practices of and the tools used in surveying.
• Effective communication skills with diverse audiences and stakeholders to include the ability to explain technical concepts.
• Demonstrated computer skills (Microsoft Office, GIS, MUNIS, etc.).
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, as well as strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• The ability to perform arithmetic, algebra, and geometric calculations.
• A valid driver’s license with a demonstrated safe driving record.
• A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent and at least two (2) years of technical training in general engineering, survey, and drafting practices. A post-secondary education in Environmental Engineering, Construction Technology, or another closely related field is desired, but not required.

Compensation and Benefits

The City of West Lafayette offers a competitive salary and benefits program. The salary range is $62,900 - $81,110 (placement within this range is dependent upon qualifications and experience).
