JOB SUMMARY
The Reliability Maintenance Manager will develop, implement and maintain an effective reliability program for all equipment in the facility. They will help with developing and maintaining a system for scheduled routine, preventative and emergency maintenance PM’s and work orders throughout the facility. They will help enhance processes across the entirety of our maintenance organization working closely with all plant departments to determine needs, schedules, and priorities for maintenance personnel. They will help look for opportunities to understand points of failure and eliminate chronic maintenance needs, increasing efficiency across the entire organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Assists the maintenance department in achieving the goals of improved machinery performance and incremental improvement.
Plans jobs for proactive work (PM’s, work orders, safety, and corrective actions)
Helps with providing solutions during downtime events, assists in conducting RCA (root cause analysis), scheduling repairs as needed with department superintendents
Conducts RCA (root cause analysis) meetings to determine the root cause of downtime and help implement corrective actions
Assists maintenance department management with weekly workflow and scheduling and tracking job status as directed by department Director.
Maintain current documentation for equipment: manuals, specs, parts lists, etc.
Maintains and continuously improves upon predictive maintenance systems including oil analysis, vibration analysis, infrared thermography, alignment and others
Determines ways to improve CMMS system, helps maintain metrics relating to reliability
Develops and implements effective proactive strategies, including development and periodic review of all facility equipment PM’s
Fosters a culture of safety awareness through correct maintenance processes
Helps with the training of maintenance team members in the specific tasks relating to reliability
Develop PM schedules and critical spares for new equipment installs prior to startup of new equipment
Anytime equipment is retired all spare parts need to be removed from the warehouse inventory (unless they can be used on other equipment)
Follow the plant’s continuous improvement process and plan
All other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
2 years of Reliability Maintenance preferred
Working knowledge of all aspects of industrial maintenance preferred
Exceptional safety record
Good computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
Physical demands include a great deal of walking and stair climbing
Required to lift a maximum of 60 pounds with assistance of a fellow team member
Temperature in work areas varies depending on where employee is working
Able to work productively and independently, good time management skills
Clear communication skills – verbally and in written form
