General Description: Coordinates and leads team meetings, provides technicians with coaching and technical assistance, monitors achievement of performance goals, insures a high level of customer service and productivity.
Completes a variety of administrative duties at the direction of the Fleet Supervisor. Coordinates the activities of technicians involved in completing equipment maintenance and repair tasks. Performs a variety of supervisory tasks that includes employee performance measures and daily operations in the shop area. Monitors and pays outside repairs and some shop expenses.
Seven years experience in the repair of automotive equipment, completion of 20 training courses in automotive repair from a community college or vocational school, or automotive dealer/retailer; ASE certifications in 4 areas or obtain within two years of employment, CDL; High school diploma/GED.
Desirable Qualifications: High school diploma/GED , six months work experience, some formal training.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: (Reasonable accommodations may substitute for physical requirements listed below): Must be able to lift or move up to 100 lbs. And maneuver up to 1 mile; must be able to crawl, climb, operate medium equipment and work with large and small objects; must possess good communications skills and functionally normal hearing. This position will work both indoors and outdoors and may be exposed to cold, heat, changing weather, adverse smells and sights, loud sounds and long periods of standing.
