Compensation: $16.50 While Training, $17 upon completion of training
Role Summary:
The Turndown Attendant functions to ensure all Hotel guest rooms are prepared for the guest’s return to their room each evening. They are responsible for offering assistance to the Housekeeping Department in multiple capacities.
Responsibilities:
- Attends and participates in daily pre-shift meetings.
- Cleans all assigned guest rooms in accordance with the hotel’s Standard Performance Procedures.
- Reports any discrepancy in room status immediately to Housekeeping Supervisor.
- Turn in found items immediately, according to procedure.
- Reports rooms unable to be services (Do Not Disturb) to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
- Documents any deficiencies found in rooms, including mechanical and electrical problems to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
- Replenishes all supplies according to standard procedure.
- Uses Alice system to compute daily checklists.
- Be familiar with hotels recycling programs, and “green” cleaning initiatives.
- Follow hotel and departmental policies and procedures.
- Completes turndown room assignments daily.
- Follows cleaning, PPE, and chemical safety guidelines.
- Stocks linen on all guest floors.
- Assists with Housekeeping guest requests.
- Assists in the laundry room as needed.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education
- Must understand instructions given in English.
Experience
- Background in Housekeeping or Janitorial Service preferred.
- Luxury housekeeping experience is a plus.
Skills
- Individual must be honest and dependable and enjoy making a difference for people and like being in a position of responsibility.
- Must enjoy working around people and be a “team player” within the framework of guest service.
- Must have a neat and clean appearance
- Must have a flexible schedule and be to work weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 100 lbs.
- Must be able to walk and stand for up to 8 hours a day, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill daily tasks.
