Job Summary

We’re looking for a Director, Strategic Media Accounts to join our publisher-facing account management team. This position will report to the General Manager of Publisher Relations and will work cooperatively with many internal and external collaborators as part of day-to-day duties. You will build relationships with our existing publishers, ensuring they receive value from their partnership with CivicScience. You will understand their critical priorities, align CivicScience offerings, and enable publisher retention and data growth.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Manage and grow relationships with publishers
  • On-board new publishers 
  • Manage publisher requests and publisher partnerships on a daily basis
  • Support all publisher in-bound requests through various technologies
  • Grow engagements and data collection for existing publishers
• Partner with senior internal team members to identify publishers’ key initiatives, providing solutions to ensure publishers receive on-going value from the platform
• Lead and / or participate in the design, execution, interpretation, and delivery of research to meet and exceed publisher goals
  • Collaborate with internal Research, Data, and Publisher groups
  • Guide projects from research objective through specification and configuration by scheduling workflow, data collection, analysis, report preparation, and presentation to publishers
• Ensure publisher satisfaction, retention, operational efficiency, and delivery quality
• Serve as a power-user of the InsightStore platform and provide ongoing support to publishers
• Maintain accurate account contact information and notes, along with up-to-date knowledge of CivicScience products and services
• Travel as necessary for onsite publisher visits and company meetings

Qualifications and Skills

• 5 years of media experience within a professional business setting, including work at an existing major publisher company (preferred)
• Experience in a marketing- or consumer research-related organization (preferred)
• Collaborative nature to build rapport and generate results among both internal and external contacts
• Presence to deliver top tier client service and comfort level to interact with senior-level management on publisher accounts
• Technology savvy with an aptitude to learn proprietary software and analyze data while crafting compelling stories
• Practical experience in research discussions and data presentations
• Self-motivation with a blend of creative, organizational, planning, problem solving, and time management skills
• Efficient workstyle with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to travel, as needed, to company meetings / events

Education

• Bachelor’s degree or professional certification in communications, social sciences, humanities, business, leadership or similar disciplines (preferred)
