As an Ecological Project Manager for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you will manage project teams to navigate today’s complex environmental regulatory landscape, helping our clients achieve and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
In this role you will lead the design of stream and wetland restoration projects using natural stream design principles and techniques. Working with clients, contractors, and local government officials, you will be involved in the entire project - from conceptual and design phases, through the regulatory review process, bidding, and construction. You will also routinely prepare stream and wetland construction drawings and specifications, coordinate §404/401 regulatory permits, oversee construction of projects, ensuring compliance with the design criteria, and perform field data collection, design parameters, and regulatory criteria.
The ideal candidate will have experience with fluvial geomorphology, hydrology, hydraulics, sediment transport, stream and wetland ecology, and natural channel design. This position requires experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D, ability to perform business development and interact with clients, periodic travel and field work as well as proficiency with technical writing.
