What are the responsibilities and job description for the EIT- Transportation position at Civil Science?
Civil Science is looking to fill an immediate opening for a EIT- Transportation in any of our Utah offices (Salt Lake City, Lehi, St. George). In this role, the EIT will assist Engineers by performing the routine aspects of civil engineering assignments, subsequently providing familiarity with the programs, staff, and operating procedures of the company. The EIT will work on a variety of projects pertaining to transportation, municipal and development projects. This work includes both design work, construction engineering, and inspection for those that like to be onsite and see designs come to fruition.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering is required
- Working knowledge of related aspects of civil engineering projects including roadway design, land surveying, construction inspection and CADD
- Recent experience in highway/DOT projects is a plus
- Proven ability to think critically and ensure a successful project outcome
- EIT certificate is preferred
- Preference given to candidates who can demonstrate they have passed the F.E.
- Experience with design software such as: MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD Civil3D is a plus
- One previous summer internship experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation is preferred
- Must be able to pass both a background check and driving record review.
