Perth Based with optional office location - CBD or Henderson

Balanced Machines, designs the next generation of balanced machines providing materials handling solutions for mining companies across Australia. Our machines are designed, fabricated, assembled, and tested at our state-of-art Henderson facility.

We now seek an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join this expanding team of professional Balanced Machines Engineers, you will enjoy a full project scope of work including design, execution, and final completion at our client’s sites throughout WA..

The Role

As a senior engineer for project delivery your key accountabilities will include;

• Review and interpret scope of works, technical specifications;
• Assist with tenders;
• Design, specify and/or select components;
• Complete 2D and/or 3D design related works
• Participate in design and safety reviews;
• Determine scope and/or design changes;
• Prepare calculations, reports, datasheets, BOM, scope of works, construction and/or commissioning methodologies;
• Provide procurement and manufacturing support;
• Assist services and spares related works and attend site as required;
• Assist with the commissioning of machines;
• Train and mentor junior personnel;
• Drive QA/QC best outcomes for the Company and Clients;
  
  

About You

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering;
• Minimum of seven (7) years experience in the mining industry (preference for balanced machines and materials handling experience);
• Proficient in relevant engineering tools, software and CAD systems; and
• Experience with direct liaison in a multidisciplinary team.
