Manager of IT Overview: CJR (formerly known as Connecticut Junior Republic) is a Connecticut based non-profit organization. We are seeking a Manager of IT to join our team to oversee the IT department and all information technology needs throughout our organization, including infrastructure, data management, system security & updates, training and compliance. The Manager of IT is the driving force behind CJRs IT strategy, responsible for overseeing key functions and ensuring they align with our business goals. Your ability to develop and execute a strategic roadmap, mentor our talented team, and lead implementations will be essential for our continued growth and success.
Duties and Responsibilities of Manager of IT:
Strategic Planning: Working with the CJR Leadership team, develop and execute a strategic IT roadmap that aligns with our organizational short- and long-term objectives, fostering innovation and growth.
Team Leadership: Mentor and lead a dedicated IT team, fostering their professional development and ensuring efficient operations.
Infrastructure Management: Oversee the management, security, and scalability of our IT infrastructure to support our evolving needs.
System updates & Software deployment: Streamline and optimize system update processes for efficient and reliable network stability and security as well as support organizational software needs.
Data Management: Manage our data storage and analytics systems to meet our day-day business needs and growth initiatives. Ensure data integrity, security, and accessibility, driving data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Training: Develop and provide training opportunities and resources for end users throughout the organization to improve workflows, processes, security, and system utilization
Vendor Collaboration: Develop collaborative partnerships to meet the information technology purchasing and support needs of the organization, including hardware, software, and MSP services.
Compliance: Ensure that our IT practices and systems adhere to PCI and HIPPA regulatory and compliance standards relevant to our industry.
Work Schedule and Rate of Pay:
Monday-Friday flexible hours between 7:00am-5:30pm
Weekend and after-hours on call availability will be required
Salary $75,000-$95,000 per year
Actual pay will be determined and based off a number of experience-related factors including skills, training, credentials, experience, education, scope and complexity of role responsibilities, geographic location, performance, etc.
Skills and Experience of Director of IT:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science/information technology, related field, or equivalent work experience.
7 years of previous progressive IT Operations and management.
Proven experience in leading IT functions within a mid-size organization.
Proficiency in overseeing infrastructure, data management, network security, backup systems, and compliance.
Proficient ability to develop and execute strategic roadmaps.
Exceptional leadership and mentoring skills.
Familiarity with Windows Server networks, Microsoft 365 and Google Workspaces
Familiarity with supporting hybrid work environments and electronic health record systems (preferred)
Demonstrated success in leading and implementing IT projects and initiatives.
