Who We’re Looking For:
We are looking for someone who will be responsible for recommending technical direction, standards, and methodologies for Systems Administration and Help Desk. You will be the technical liaison between the business and System Administration and Help Desk. This is a working supervisor position, so this role will be hands-on with network, storage, servers, exchange, active directory, etc.
The Day-to-Day:
- Manages the day-to-day operations of the system, and provides work direction to the SA and Helpdesk staff.
- Identifies methods, solutions, and provides project leadership and management in order to provide a high level of service to the department and the company’s internal customers.
- Oversees installation, configuration and maintenance of server systems, personal computers, wireless networking, server racks and other related equipment, devices and systems.
- Troubleshoots systems and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties.
- Researches, recommends and designs infrastructure for servers and associated systems.
- Implements policies, administers firewall, applies public key encryption to network applications, manage host security and file permissions.
- Participates in the evaluation and makes recommendations regarding the purchase of computers, server hardware, peripheral equipment and software.
- Maintains site license documentation for department/organization.
- Works as a hands-on team member and supervisor with other technical staff, such as desktop and server support technicians to ensure connectivity and compatibility between systems.
- Manages all ongoing and short-term System projects.
- Acts as the liaison between System Administration team and all internal and external customers
- Provides standards, methodologies, and expectations of work for System Administration and Helpdesk Teams.

- Ability to communicate objectives and manage to completion of objectives
- Ability to document processes, design patterns and procedures for the SA team
- Excellent analytical skills
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree with 5 years’ experience, or
- 7 years’ experience related specifically to System Administration
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Telecom industry experience preferred
