As the PRO, you'll directly report to the Director of Information Technology and collaborate with legal counsel to manage County records and fulfill public records requests in compliance with relevant regulations. You'll oversee the Public Records Analyst (PRA) and provide consultation and program services to all County departments. Your responsibilities will include managing records, appraising, preserving, and ensuring compliance with retention schedules. Additionally, you'll serve as the primary administrator for GovQA, ensuring the proper care of all County records. We're seeking individuals with a strong understanding of the Public Records Act and retention schedules, as well as extensive knowledge of relevant laws and regulations. Join us in this pivotal role, where your expertise will contribute to the effective management of public records for Clallam County.
Education/Training
AA or BA in Office Management, Public Administration, or a related field and certified as a Public Records Officer by the Washington State Association of Public Records Officials within four years of hire.
Experience
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the clerical field or related area specializing in records retention and/or public records. Other combinations of education and experience will be evaluated on an individual basis.
