Job Summary:
The Financial Analyst serves as Clarity Media Group’s corporate budget analyst and financial reporting expert. This position works closely with the CFO, CEO, and corporate accounting staff in addition to providing support to Clarity’s subsidiaries and corporate parent. This position operates with a high degree of autonomy and requires a self-starter with a natural proclivity to ask questions and solve problems.
The position is responsible for corporate financial activities including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting; operational analyses; business case evaluations; GAAP compliance research; financial presentations; and special projects. The applicant must be an Excel wizard; be proficient in financial modeling and design; understand and operate within multiple reporting systems; and support all units within the organization.
Essential Job Duties, Responsibilities and Skills:
- Lead the annual corporate budgeting process including coordinating and assisting subsidiaries’ budgeting efforts
- Create and maintain weekly, monthly, and annual reports using Excel and various enterprise reporting systems
- Monitors actual performance against budget, forecast, and prior year; analyzes variances; and identifies opportunities to improve performance
- Assist subsidiaries in financial and operational analyses and provide corporate support
- Ability and willingness to quickly gain a working knowledge of the Company’s industry, operations, and processes
- Identify and evaluate organizational KPIs
- Generate periodic cash flow forecasts
- Create various ad-hoc financial and operational models
- Generate web metric and benchmarking reports
- Create executive and board presentations
- Serve as the organization’s Excel guru
- Identify and implement process improvements
- Assist in special projects
- Communicate clearly, proactively, and with the utmost professionalism and confidentiality
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Strong reporting skills with experience in leading multi-divisional budgets successfully
- Ability to think strategically

- Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Must be able to travel to Colorado Springs monthly and occasional domestic travel

Education & Work Experience:
- Media, newspaper, and/or subscription business experience desirable
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- CPA or CMA desirable
- 3-5 years as a finance and/or accounting professional
- Minimum three years of financial budgeting experience
- Minimum three years of financial reporting experience
- Operational reporting experience preferred
- Three years of financial modeling and data analysis experience preferred
- JDE Enterprise, Hubble reporting, and OneStream reporting software experience a plus
- Computer Literacy – Mastery in Microsoft Excel; proficient with Microsoft Office, (Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint) and database applications
- Must read, write, speak and understand English
Physical Demands:
The work is mostly sedentary with periods of light physical activity. Typical positions require workers to sit, walk, or stand for long periods; lift and carry up to 20 pounds; climb stairs, bend, reach, hold, grasp and turn objects; and use fingers to operate computer or typewriter keyboards. The work requires the ability to speak normally and to use normal or aided vision and hearing.
Work Hours:
Working hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Occasional evenings and weekends may be required during busy seasons. This position is currently hybrid with three days in-office and two days remote per work week.

We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join our team. This person will play a key role supporting the CFO and CEO. The position is located in downtown Denver and currently provides flexibility with a hybrid office working arrangement. The salary range for this position is $85k to $95k per year.
