Patent searcher chemistry

Join our team! We are looking for a motivated and independent Patent Analyst to work with us in support of a Search contract with the US Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO).

About you - experience, education, skills and accomplishments

• U.S. citizens or work-eligible legal residents
• Must have continuously resided in the U.S. for at least the two previous years
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or chemical arts with a focus on organic chemistry and / or polymers
• 2 years of patent-examining or patent-searching experience in chemistry or chemical arts

Would be great if you also had...

• Master's degree or higher in Chemistry or related field
• Experience developing a search methodology and conducting text and structure searches using STN or SciFinder
• In-depth knowledge of technical literature in the areas of chemistry and chemical structures

What will you be doing in this role?

• Perform a comprehensive search to ensure the most relevant prior art is located and provide a logical and complete search history
• Prepare a written search report setting forth the most relevant prior art to the request
• Maintain proficiency with commercial patent searching databases and other proprietary databases of technical publications
• Stay abreast of best practices and changes to search procedures via self-directed review of materials provided by Clarivate and USPTO
• Maintain consistent timeliness and superior quality of deliverables
• Ensure compliance with Clarivate's Code of Business Ethics and Corporate Conduct

• Full time, Permanent
• This position is fully remote in the United States

Compensation - US Only

The expected base salary for this position is $,57,600-86,400 USD per year.This role is eligible for (incentive or bonus) earnings.

Individual pay is based upon experience, education, skill and ability, expertise , and relevant factors.
